Sarah currently lives and works in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia after spending five years in Basel, Switzerland.
"I have been fortunate to live in several countries and continents from Hong Kong (where I worked as an architect for seven years) and Taiwan to Australia, and Spain.
Born in USA, Sarah grew up in Yorkshire, in the North of England. She originally trained as an Architect in England and spent several years working for a London based practice before working overseas.In 1992 Sarah relocated to Asia, working for a Hong Kong practice.
Sarah has always sketched and painted, drawing the people and architecture of the countries she has travelled through. "Living in these very different cultures I found it easier to capture the atmosphere, the light and the people through sketches and paintings rather than purely with photographs."
Photography is an important part of Sarah's work and incorporated in many areas from digital art to collage and mixed media. Each artwork can be traced back to a series of early sketches and drawings.
Sarah has exhibited widely with work currently in many private collections in the USA, Australia and Europe. Many Clients keep in touch through the Artwx website. Sarah is currently working on a series of commissions for Private Clients.
